Writing up and dissemination
In addition to writing up the research I've been commissioned to conduct, I also support authors and teams to write up their own research.
Typically, I write up research as peer-reviewed publications and/or organisational reports.
I've published in high-impact journals like the BMJ, Lancet and PLoS Medicine. In terms of disciplines and fields, I've published in health sciences (general practice, palliative care, digital health), psychological, philosophical and methodological journals.
My scientific publications are guided by my general beliefs about writing: it has to be crystal clear, reader friendly, dynamic, engaging, super informative, hopeful. My intention is to make the research I contribute to accessible to any interested and educated non-specialist.
I also disseminate in alternative - popular, accessible, interactive and experimental - formats, such as policy and evidence briefs, 1-2-pagers, blogs, slide decks, web copy and, of course, talks and presentations.
